Visit to Guangzhou on Cross-Boundary e-Commerce

        You and representatives from your organization are cordially invited to join a delegation, led by Government Chief Information Officer, to visit the Guangzhou Municipal Commission of Commerce (廣州市商務委員會) to explore collaboration opportunities in cross-boundary e-commerce on 28 January 2016 (Thursday).

2.         The Government endeavours to promote collaboration with the Mainland for the development of cross-boundary e-commerce.  In September 2015, the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau and the Guangzhou Municipal Commission of Commerce jointly signed the “Co-operation Agreement on Enhancing Cross-boundary e-Commerce” to facilitate exchange and collaboration on cross- boundary e-commerce between Hong Kong and Guangzhou.  The subject visit is to provide opportunity for our local trade representatives to understand more about Guangzhou’s polices and development in respect of cross-boundary e-commerce, as well as to foster collaboration of the trade between the two places.

3.        The tentative visit programme on 28 January (Thursday) is as follows:

11:30 am – 12:30 pm    Meeting with officials of Guangzhou Municipal Commission of Commerce
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm    Lunch
3:00 pm – 4:30 pm    Visit to Guangzhou Baiyun Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone (廣州白雲機場綜合保税區)
6:20 pm    Intercity Through Train (Z819) from Guangzhou back to Hong Kong
